About the Founder

Rose Murillo is the Founder of The J. Daniel Group, a consulting collaborative providing solutions involving organizations' greatest assets - their people.

In her career, Dr. Murillo most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer of a Texas state community college. Her previous higher education experience includes key HR leadership roles at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech and JPL) and Azusa Pacific University. She has experience in global manufacturing, national retail, transportation, and non-profit sectors, including working with The Gillette Company, Vishay Intertechnology, The Los Angeles Mission, and Trader Joe's. For several years Dr. Murillo taught Human Resources Management at the Master's level at Azusa Pacific University.

Rose earned her Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne, and her Masters in Leadership and Organizational Studies at Azusa Pacific University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree. Dr. Murillo is certified as a senior Human Resources professional, with both a SPHR and SHRM-SCP and is a member of the Maxwell Leadership team.

Dr. Davis is an entrepreneur and leader, effectively advising small businesses and non-profit organizations to develop strategies for sustained performance and financial success through her firm, Dr. Theresa Speaks. She is an active member of her community supporting families, area youth programs, non-profit organizations and churches.

Armed with several advanced degrees, Dr. Davis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to those she serves. Her numerous certifications include: Advanced Certified Non-Profit Professional, DISC trainer & consultant, and grant writing as well as Certified Parenting & Family Coach. In 2016 she accepted the Woman of the Year Award by the Association of Business and Professional Women.


It is an honor and privilege to be associated with Dr Theresa Davis. I have known Dr Davis as a colleague for over 3 years. As a College Professor with Tulsa Community College and Connors State College, I have utilized Dr. Davis' tried and proven pedagogy in the area of Public Speaking, Strategies, Leadership Training and Development in the field of Higher Education.

Dr. Davis is instrumental in mentoring Professors in person and online such as myself in the field of Strategic Communication and Organizational Development. As a Maxwell Certified Behavioral Analysis Trainer and Consultant, Dr Davis' expertise, speaking and delivery style, along with her wit and patience have been beneficial to those of us who are being mentored by her.
